Solvertech Solutions was founded in 2021 by four operators across Kampala, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, and Kigali — all of whom had spent years building local ecommerce and watching cross-border East African commerce remain stuck in the gap between Mobile Money's regional scale and platform infrastructure that didn't acknowledge it. We built a platform across the region.
How we built across borders
Solvertech operates entities in our top four markets — Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda — with platform engineering distributed across our local offices. We hold payment licensing in each market and partner with regional logistics providers.
How Mobile Money native means more than integration
Most platforms 'support' Mobile Money as a payment option alongside cards. Solvertech treats Mobile Money as the default. Settlement, refunds, dispute resolution, and seller wallets all run through Mobile Money rails.
